FAQ

Answers to common questions about parent-controlled messaging and managed devices.

1) What is ChatBetweenUs?
ChatBetweenUs is a parent/admin-controlled messaging service designed to help children communicate safely. Parents approve who can contact the child, and unknown numbers can be blocked. We also offer an optional managed phone setup for a locked-down experience.
2) How does it prevent unwanted contacts?
The service is designed around a parent-approved contact list. Only approved numbers are allowed to communicate. This reduces exposure to spam, unknown numbers, and inappropriate contact requests.
3) What does "locked-down device" mean?
With the managed device option (Samsung Galaxy A15), the phone can be configured so the child cannot install apps, browse the web, or use social media. The device is focused on safe communication. Exact restrictions depend on the selected configuration.
4) How do I opt in to receive messages?
Go to the Opt-in page and submit the form. You must check the consent box. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP.
5) Can I opt out at any time?
Yes. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. For help, reply HELP. You can also reach support using the Contact page.
6) Do you support families and organizations?
Yes. ChatBetweenUs can be used by families, caregivers, and organizations that need safe, controlled communications. If you need multiple devices or a custom workflow, use the Contact page and tell us what you are trying to set up.
